SS501 History ..
SS501 memulai debutnya pada 2005 dengan single pertama mereka “경고” (“Warning”), dengan single kedua “Snow Prince” dirilis pada akhir 2005. Kelompok ini tidak aktif di Korea untuk sebagian besar tahun 2006, meskipun mereka memiliki pertemuan penggemar di Jepang pada bulan April. Yang rumpang adalah karena kondisi tenggorokan Heo Young Saeng yang membutuhkan pembedahan, dengan demikian dibutuhkan waktu sampai dia benar-benar pulih. Pada pertengahan 2006, mereka mengadakan konser pertama mereka, “Step Up Concert” di Osaka, Jepang. Pada akhir 2006, mereka kembali ke Korea dalam rangka untuk mempromosikan album pertama mereka, yang dirilis pada 10 November. Singel dari album termasuk “Unlock” dan “Empat Chance”. Mereka memenangkan penghargaan dari Mutizen SBS Gayo Inki lagu mereka “Four Chance”.

Kemudian pada tahun 2007, debutnya di pasar Jepang. Sebuah fanclub Jepang telah didirikan dengan nama “Triple S Japan”, secara resmi memulai debutnya pada 25 Maret 2007, ketika pertama kali SS501 akan pertemuan resmi dengan grup. Di Korea, anggota fanclub mereka berjumlah sekitar 41.700. SS501 memiliki single jepang “Kokoro”, yang memiliki beberapa versi, termasuk satu dengan semua anggota dan lima orang lain yang menampilkan para anggota secara individual.

Pada tahun 2008, SS501 kembali ke Korea dengan single “Deja Vu” dirilis pada tanggal 8 Maret 2008. “Deja Vu” adalah lagu pertama yang akan dipromosikan, dan mereka mulai comeback mereka pada saluran musik M. Net ‘s M Countdown. Setelah sukses dengan single “Deja Vu”, mereka mulai mempromosikan single kedua mereka, “A Song Calling For You”.

Disebabkan oleh dua anggota padat jadwalnya, Jungmin tampil di sebuah musikal “Grease” dan Hyun Joong film drama BBF, album SS501, awalnya akan dirilis pada akhir 2008, akan didorong kembali ke Juli 2009. Sebaliknya, subgroup SS501 terbentuk. Mereka pada awalnya ingin menggunakan Triple S sebagai nama kelompok mereka, tetapi ide itu dibatalkan karena mereka berpikir bahwa mereka adalah 5 anggota yang selalu menjadi 1 tidak peduli apapun, sehingga mereka terus merilis album proyek khusus UR Man (dirilis pada 25 November 2008) di bawah nama SS501. Setelah menyelesaikan kegiatan promosi mereka untuk ‘UR Man’, mereka saat ini sedang mempromosikan ‘내 머리 가 나빠서 (Because I’m Stupid)’, mereka menyanyikan sebuah lagu ini OST dari ‘Boys Before Flowers’. Lagu ini sangat baik diterima karena keberhasilan drama.

Kelompok asli, dengan semua lima anggota, dijadwalkan untuk tampil kembali pada bulan Agustus 2009. Mereka akan ada Asia Tour in Jan’10 termasuk negara-negara seperti Jepang, Cina, Taiwan, Thailand, dll

Mereka akan merilis album Jepang keduanya, Mei 2009 berjudul “All My Love”.
